Today I want to chat about Kombucha. That is obviously completely unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I know you won't mind.

He claims it is magical. I claim it's nasty.

While I know this is going to seem spectacular (cause it is), I actually dry heave at the sight and smell of the early ritual to a daily basis. He loves that about me personally.

Based upon this reaction, one would think that I would stay far away from Kombucha, directly? I suggest, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for some reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to like it SO DANG BAD.

They have the perfect amount of banana flavor and a beautiful chewy feel as a result of its oats. The chocolate chips are only an added bonus.

I enjoy these cookies a little about the left handed side, therefore that I inhale them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I would shoot for 10-11 minutes.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES



PRINT RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 large egg



1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon





DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.



Scrape the sides of the bowl and then mix in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl again and add in the skillet and vanilla.



Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just blended.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.



Use a medium cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about two inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and lightly press on the tops of each cookie with the base of a drinking glass. Because these cookies don't spread considerably, this can help give them a conventional cookie form.

Allow the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
